European Repair Information Form generator

Giving this form is optional. Giving it binds you. Article 4(1) of Directive (EU) 2024/1799 says a repairer may provide the European Repair Information Form set out in Annex I — but Article 4(5) then says you may not alter the conditions in it for 30 calendar days, and that if the consumer accepts within that period you are obliged to carry out the repair on exactly those terms. It is a binding offer, not a quotation. In return, Article 4(6) treats a complete and accurate form as satisfying your information duties under Directive 2011/83/EU and Directive 2006/123/EC. This generator produces the Annex I form in the wording of your own language's Official Journal text.

The form is one part of the Directive. Article 5 sets a separate obligation to repair goods covered by the acts listed in Annex II, Article 7 provides for a European online platform for repair, and Article 12 adds consumer information duties. Article 4(2) requires the form itself to be free; Article 4(3) allows you to charge the necessary cost of a diagnostic service, provided you say what it costs first.
