Measuring instruments Declaration of Conformity generator

A measuring instrument in one of the ten categories the Directive names — water meters, gas meters, electricity meters, heat meters, liquid measuring systems, automatic weighing instruments, taximeters, material measures, dimensional measuring instruments and exhaust gas analysers — must be covered by an EU declaration of conformity before the CE marking and the supplementary metrology marking go on. Annex XIII sets out its model structure. This free generator follows those eight points in the words the Directive uses.

The essential requirements and the conformity assessment procedures Directive 2014/32/EU sets out are separate obligations and this tool does not check any of them. Point 5 leaves the Union harmonisation legislation open, so one declaration can cover other acts alongside this one. It does not tell you which act applies to your product.
