Low Voltage Declaration of Conformity generator

Electrical equipment between 50 and 1000 V AC, or 75 and 1500 V DC, must be covered by an EU declaration of conformity before the CE marking goes on. Article 15 says it must have the model structure set out in Annex IV and be kept continuously updated. This free generator follows those seven points in the words the Directive uses. Two things are worth knowing before you sign: there is no notified body line, because conformity assessment here is internal production control and nobody else takes part; and point 5 leaves the legislation open, so one declaration can cover the EMC Directive as well.

The declaration attests to an assessment you have already made. The safety objectives in Annex I, the internal production control of Module A in Annex III, and the technical documentation are separate obligations and this tool does not check any of them. Point 5 leaves the Union harmonisation legislation open, so one declaration can cover the EMC Directive and others alongside this one. It does not tell you which act applies to your product.
