ATEX Declaration of Conformity generator

Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres must be covered by an EU declaration of conformity before the CE marking goes on. Article 13 requires it and Annex X sets out its model structure. This free generator follows those eight points in the words the Directive uses. There is no countdown on this page and no future date to watch: the obligation has applied since 20 April 2016, and the one amendment since then leaves the declaration model untouched.

The declaration attests to an assessment you have already made. The essential health and safety requirements in Annex II, the conformity assessment procedures in Annexes III to IX, and the technical documentation are separate obligations and this tool does not check any of them. Point 5 leaves the Union harmonisation legislation open, so one declaration can cover other acts alongside this one. It does not tell you which act applies to your product.
