EMC Declaration of Conformity generator

Equipment liable to generate electromagnetic disturbance, or whose own performance is liable to be affected by it, must be covered by an EU declaration of conformity before the CE marking goes on. Article 15 requires it and Annex IV sets out its model structure. This free generator follows those eight points in the words the Directive uses. There is no countdown on this page and no future date to watch: the obligation has applied since 20 April 2016, and the two amendments since then leave the declaration model untouched.

The declaration attests to an assessment you have already made. The essential requirements in Annex I, the conformity assessment in Annex II or III, and the technical documentation are separate obligations and this tool does not check any of them. Point 5 leaves the Union harmonisation legislation open, so one declaration can cover the Low Voltage Directive and others alongside this one. It does not tell you which act applies to your product.
